The Yaesu M-70 is a premium desktop condenser microphone designed for Yaesu HF transceivers, delivering exceptional audio quality for SSB and AM operation. The directional condenser element covers a wide frequency response of 30–17000 Hz — significantly broader than typical dynamic microphones — for clear, crisp, and natural-sounding audio. An integrated isolation transformer on the circuit board further enhances audio quality by eliminating ground loop interference. The built-in low-cut filter (340 Hz, -6 dB/octave, switchable) shapes the low-frequency response to reduce room rumble and handling noise. The PTT mechanism uses three air-cylinder tubes — the same design as the flagship M-1 Reference Microphone — for solid, smooth, and reliable operation. A one-touch PTT keylock button sits directly above the PTT key for convenient locking during long QSOs. Compatible with all Yaesu HF transceivers equipped with a round 8-pin or 8-pin modular microphone connector.
