The Sirio Bull Trucker 5000 3/8" Centre Loaded is a flagship, high-power centre-loaded mobile antenna fully designed and manufactured in Italy for CB 27MHz and 10-metre amateur radio use. With an exceptional 5000W ICAS power handling, a tunable frequency range of 26.5–30 MHz covering 170 channels, and a bandwidth of ≥1.9 MHz at SWR ≤2, it's engineered for operators who demand the absolute maximum from their mobile installation. The exclusive LED PCB lights up on transmit for a clear visual TX indicator. Built around a high-Q, air-wound coil of 48mm diameter using 3mm (9-AWG) wire with no soldering points, a 59" 17/7 PH stainless steel tapered whip with metallic cap, and a universal 3/8"x24 thread mount — every detail is precision-engineered for performance and longevity.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does ICAS mean?
ICAS stands for Intermittent Commercial and Amateur Service. It refers to the peak power rating under intermittent use conditions, as opposed to continuous (CW) duty. The 5000W ICAS rating makes this antenna suitable for high-power SSB and AM operation on CB and 10m.
What mount does it use?
The Bull Trucker 5000 uses a universal 3/8"x24 thread male mount, compatible with the vast majority of CB and HF mobile antenna mounts including mirror mounts, boot mounts, and gutter mounts.
Can it be used for 10m amateur radio?
Yes. The tunable range of 26.5–30 MHz covers the full 10-metre amateur band (28–29.7 MHz), making it equally suited to licensed 10m operators as well as CB users.
How does the LED TX indicator work?
The exclusive LED PCB is integrated into the loading coil housing and illuminates automatically when the radio transmits. It provides a clear visual confirmation of transmission and gives the antenna its distinctive trucker appearance.
What is the coil construction and why does it matter?
The high-Q air-wound coil is 48mm in diameter, wound with 3mm (9-AWG) wire, and has no soldering points. This construction minimises resistive losses and maximises efficiency, which is critical at high power levels.
How long is the antenna?
The Bull Trucker 5000 stands 1800mm (approximately 5.91ft / 71 inches) tall, including the 59" stainless steel tapered whip with metallic cap.
Is it suitable for HGV and lorry installations?
Yes. The heavy-duty construction, high power handling, and 3/8" thread mount make it a popular choice for truck, lorry, and HGV installations where maximum range and durability are required.
