Moonraker LWHF-160 160m-6m Multiband End Fed Long Wire Antenna 400W

The Moonraker LWHF-160 is a multiband end-fed long-wire antenna designed for amateur-radio operation from 160m (1.8MHz) through 6m (50MHz), including the WARC bands. It uses an integrated 9:1 Unun and a 41.7m wire element, providing very broad HF coverage from a single end-fed antenna.

Moonraker recommends using the antenna with a suitable antenna tuning unit (ATU) to obtain a good match across the supported bands. The matching unit also provides a separate ground connection for an earth rod if required.

Installation

The LWHF-160 is end-fed, allowing the feedpoint to be positioned near a building, mast or other convenient support while the 41.7m wire is deployed horizontally, as a sloper, inverted-L or another practical long-wire arrangement. Actual tuning and performance depend on the installation, feedline, grounding and nearby objects.
