The Moonraker G5RV Half-Size is a half-size version of the classic G5RV multiband HF dipole antenna — one of the most popular and widely used all-round HF antennas in the world. The half-size G5RV is designed for operators with limited garden space who cannot accommodate the full-size 31m G5RV, while still covering 10m, 15m, 20m, and 40m with an external ATU. Like the full-size version, it uses a matching section of 300-ohm ribbon feeder to transform the antenna impedance, allowing the use of standard 50-ohm coax as the main feedline to your radio — eliminating the need for open-wire ladder line throughout the shack. Resonant on 10m without a tuner. 500W power handling. 15.5m of 1.5mm enamelled copper wire with 4.6m of high-quality USA-made 300-ohm ribbon. High-power moulded SO-239 socket. Note: An external ATU is required for 15m, 20m, and 40m operation. Some internal (auto) ATUs may not have sufficient range to tune this antenna — an external manual or automatic ATU is recommended.
