The Yaesu M-90D is a premium desktop microphone designed for Yaesu HF transceivers, featuring dual connectivity with both a round 8-pin jack and an 8-pin modular jack — making it compatible with a wide range of Yaesu radios without adapters. The dynamic microphone element is finely tuned for rich low-to-mid frequency response (30–1700 Hz), delivering clear and concise audio optimised for SSB and AM voice communication. A directional element with windscreen concentrates voice input from the front while reducing ambient noise from the sides, and the built-in low-cut filter further enhances audio clarity. The PTT mechanism uses three air-cylinder tubes — the same design as the flagship M-1 Reference Microphone — providing solid, smooth, and reliable operation over extended use. A one-touch PTT keylock button sits directly above the PTT key for convenient locking during long QSOs.
