The LDG RBA-1 is a 1:1 current balun designed to provide a clean, balanced interface between ladder line, long wire, and random wire antennas and your coax feedline or automatic antenna tuner. Originally designed to complement LDG's range of automatic antenna tuners, the RBA-1 operates completely standalone and is compatible with any ATU or transceiver. A 1:1 current balun suppresses common-mode RF currents on the coax outer braid, reducing RF interference in the shack and improving antenna pattern symmetry — particularly important when using ladder line or end-fed wire antennas. Covering 1.8–30 MHz with 200W power handling, it's suitable for all HF amateur radio bands. The compact enclosure (5 x 2.5 x 1.25 inches) is easy to weatherproof for outdoor installation at the antenna feed point.
