The 8-pin modular connector allows direct connection to Icom PMR VHF/UHF mobile radios and repeaters — the successor to the SM-25. A built-in microphone amplifier ensures strong, clear audio output, while large, easy-to-operate switches make it practical for busy control room and dispatch environments. The monitor switch can be cloned to activate normal or priority scan, adding operational flexibility for PMR users.
