AOR GT-1MK2 Galvanic Isolation Transformer

The AOR GT-1MK2 is a receive-only isolation transformer designed to reduce locally generated noise when installed between an antenna and a radio receiver. By interrupting the ground-loop path between the antenna system and receiver, it can help reduce interference from switching power supplies, computers and other electrical equipment.

Its galvanic isolation also helps protect the receiver from electrostatic discharge on the antenna line. With wideband coverage from 100kHz to 400MHz, it is suitable for a broad range of receiving applications. The GT-1MK2 is designed specifically for ground-loop-related noise and will not remove every type of interference.

Installation

1. Connect the antenna cable to the BNC connector marked ANT.
2. Connect the side marked RX directly to the receiver antenna input.
3. If required, use a short 10–20cm BNC coaxial cable between the receiver and GT-1MK2; this cable is not supplied.
