Coming soon: Icom’s next-generation 144/430 MHz dual-band D-STAR mobile transceiver.

The ID-5200 is the successor to the ID-5100, combining a large 4.3-inch colour touchscreen with dedicated physical controls, true dual-band reception and enhanced D-STAR connectivity.

• Operating bands: 144/430 MHz VHF/UHF
• Modes: FM and DV (D-STAR Digital Voice)
• True dual receive: FM/FM, FM/DV and DV/DV, including V/V, U/U and V/U operation
• Display: 4.3-inch colour touchscreen with waterfall display and memory scope
• Controls: Independent tuning, volume and squelch controls for the A and B bands, plus dedicated function buttons
• D-STAR functions: Terminal Mode, Access Point Mode, DV Repeater Monitor, and image transmission and reception
• Connectivity: Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support for smartphones and PCs
• Receive coverage: Includes Airband reception
• Installation: Optional in-vehicle mounts, docking brackets and desktop stands are available
• Future feature: APRS support is planned through a firmware update
