The Tarheel 400 Pro is the largest antenna in the Tarheel 300/400 Pro range, featuring a 48" mast and covering 1.8 to 26MHz with a standard 66" whip — or 1.8 to 30MHz with a trimmed whip. Like the 300 Pro, it's rated at 400W on CW and SSB with a close-wound coil optimised for low-band performance, but the longer mast provides improved efficiency on 160m and 80m. Motorised tuning via up/down switch with approximately 1550 sensor pulses ensures precise band positioning. The HP model includes a matching coil, medium cradle mount and KDT whip quick connect.
